She Raised Zombies in the Apocalypse - Chapter 53
“What should we do? The master must have been taken into this fortress!”
The fortress was large, and the people inside had strong auras.
“What now? Forcing our way in won’t work,” Kui Kui looked at San Ling, and everyone else followed suit.
The little ones obediently awaited instructions.
San Ling gave up on the main gate and led them towards the side gate.
“Fight! We must fight!”
San Ling scratched his head, “If we fight and they come out, we’ll run immediately.”
As the group approached the side gate, they heard a ‘thud, thud, thud’ sound.
San Ling wiped his eyes and saw a zombie girl in a red dress, with long black hair, banging her head against the gate.
The zombie girl in red was slim, with long, straight legs.
The red dress reached just her knees, revealing pale, overly slender calves.
San Ling watched as she created a perfect round dent in the gate with her head, more rounded than others could manage.
“What should we do?”
Xiao San looked at the leader, asking, “Do we still fight?”
San Ling hid everyone in the shadows. The Second Fortress was heavily guarded, with many people stationed on the walls.
“Wait and see.” San Ling glanced at the thorn forest and saw something peculiar.
“Yes, there’s a way.”
Still angry, Xia Sheng, who should have been resting, was leaning on a crutch and came out for some fresh air in the middle of the night.
He stood on a small balcony on the second floor, looking at the zombie girl in red below.
“Why is this zombie acting crazy again?”
He asked the person beside him, “Go get a few people to deal with this zombie.”
If they could kill her, they would have done so long ago.
But this zombie was incredibly fast and excellent at dodging.
Even the fastest in the fortress, Granny Hua, couldn’t match her.
“Who knows what obsession this zombie has? Every night she comes to bang on our gate.”
“But today, she’s alone?”
This was not just any zombie; it was a zombie leader.
Last time, she led over three hundred zombies, breaking through the gate and wreaking havoc inside the fortress. Yet they still couldn’t capture her.
“Young Master, look! Her shoulder.”
Someone with sharp eyes saw, even in the dark, that the zombie girl in red had a large chunk bitten out of her shoulder.
“She’s injured! Did she fight with other zombies? Or was her leadership position taken?”
Xia Sheng’s expression changed, saying, “It seems her energy has significantly diminished.”
“Open the gate, let her in. If she dares to come alone, she’s seeking death. We’ll settle this problem once and for all.” Xia Sheng made a decisive call.
The zombie girl in red ignored her injury, continuing to pound the gate tirelessly.
Xia Sheng, eager to vent his accumulated anger from the day, glared at the troublesome zombie leader below, raised his crutch, and shouted, “Open the gate—urgh!”
As he opened his mouth to command the extermination of the zombie, something foul suddenly flew into his mouth.
The stench hit him like a punch to the face, making Xia Sheng retch violently.
San Ling, hiding in the shadows, raised his arm, “Eat! Shit! You!”
Dare to mess with the little king of the Thorn Forest? This human must be courting death!
Using the dung of mutant beasts from the Thorn Forest, San Ling made a good plan.
The ability holders in the fortress were dumbfounded.
Perhaps they had never seen a rain of dung flying from a distance?
Round ones, flat ones, wet ones, dry ones, big and small ones.
That day, the ability holders in the fortress witnessed them all.
“What is this?!”
“Get the searchlights!”
One ability holder, splattered three times, shouted in frustration.
A large group of men clung to the walls, gagging as waves of nausea hit them.
The dung of mutant beasts was incredibly foul.
Worse, just after speaking, another lump of dung hit the area near his mouth.
His eyes turned red with rage.
A companion covered his head, saying, “Shh! Boss, don’t speak. The dung will fly in!”
Finally, the searchlights were in place, illuminating the dark thorn forest.
The zombie girl in red turned and saw the group of zombies. After a moment of hesitation, she ran over to join them, holding her head.
“Stay back! Don’t get caught!”
“No killing?” Xiao San asked while throwing dung, “Should we rush in?”
San Ling, wiser, said, “The master is inside. We can’t kill! If we rush in, we won’t win.”
Granny Hua had just sat down to enjoy a cup of hot tea when someone rushed in, breathless.
“Zombies! Zombies!” The person panted from exhaustion.
Granny Hua frowned, “Is it that female zombie leader again?”
“Not…not zombies. It’s poop!”
Granny Hua: “…?”
Meanwhile, San Wu was unaware that her zombies had caused a commotion at the Second Fortress. She had been placed in an empty room by Ji Lingbai.
“Xiao Bai?”
Ji Lingbai nodded, “It’s me.”
Now that it was safe, San Wu found herself at a loss for words, and an awkward silence filled the room.
“You rest here. There aren’t any zombies around,” Ji Lingbai said, glancing out the window. “I’ll go find some food.”
San Wu nodded eagerly, saying, “Um, Ji Lingbai, why not take me back? Weren’t you fighting the Eighteenth Fortress earlier?”
Ji Lingbai didn’t respond directly, only saying, “No rush to go back. You stay put.”
With that, he turned and left.
San Wu obediently sat for three minutes.
Xiao Luobo stayed motionless in her lap, pretending to be an ordinary radish.
After three minutes, San Wu got up and walked to the window.
