She Raised Zombies in the Apocalypse - Chapter 80
Looking at the two fully-loaded trucks of supplies, Jiang Tian felt it all came a bit too easily.
San Wu, perched on the newly built lookout tower, had already spotted the line of approaching zombies.
She leaned against the railing, looking down at the partitions that had been set up. The partitions formed a fully enclosed path leading all the way to the arranged classroom.
The zombies couldn’t see a bit of the village scenery.
When the ten students entered, they were still full of arrogance. But as soon as they stepped inside, they found themselves surrounded by partitions. On either side of the partitions stood rows of zombies, packed tightly together.
Each of these zombies held an unfamiliar object in their hands. It wasn’t clear what they were for, but the red and green colors made the new zombies uneasy.
The ten zombies, who had initially been impatient, suddenly felt… a bit of pressure.
After taking a step forward, everyone jumped in fright.
‘Bang bang bang!’ The continuous explosions made the zombies even more afraid to move.
Those red and green things had been squeezed and exploded, bursting out streams of confetti that floated down, looking rather terrifying.
These were balloons San Wu had given them.
She’d heard it was a way to express goodwill.
The group’s eyes gleamed as they stared at the ten new zombies. San Wu had said these newcomers were here to bring them food. Therefore, they had to give them a warm welcome.
Unfortunately, the new arrivals didn’t understand their good intentions.
The ten zombies cautiously moved forward, heading towards a small villa at the end. The windows were all sealed, offering no view of the outside.
But when they reached the first-floor staircase, they saw a female zombie in a red dress slowly dragging a blood-soaked zombie across their path.
And that zombie just happened to be at the soldier-zombie level.
The female zombie, Sang Fei, slowly turned her head. Her face, in the dimly lit hall, appeared particularly grim and terrifying.
“Don’t be afraid. I’m just teaching this one a lesson for being disobedient.” Sang Fei opened her mouth, then gave the ‘corpse’ another kick. “Move a little closer. I won’t hit you.”
All ten zombies shuddered in unison and began to back away.
Sang Fei slowly dragged the ‘corpse’ away.
Jiang Tian: “…”
It was all for show!
That so-called ‘corpse’? Two hours ago, it had been happily munching on an egg in the fortress.
But the zombies behind him suddenly quieted down. They stopped pulling and obediently moved forward.
Sure enough, disobedient zombies were spoiled. A beating or a good scare sorts them out.
These matters had to be handled by their own kind to hit zombies where it hurt the most.
When they reached the second floor, Jiang Tian suddenly heard sharp zombie howls coming from four rooms. The constant banging on the doors made it sound like the zombies inside were undergoing some kind of torture.
Xiao San came out of one of the rooms, holding a small whip, and headed to the bathroom to wash up. The sharp-eyed zombies noticed that her hands were covered in bits of flesh.
They were so scared they stopped breathing! Then they patted their chests, only to remember that they didn’t need to breathe in the first place—they’d been so tense they’d forgotten.
Jiang Tian tugged at the youngest one. Even he had been startled.
He was starting to understand what San Wu meant by ‘guaranteed obedience’.
Xiao San nodded at them, pointing toward the door. “Want to come in for a tour?”
They all shook their heads, pushing Jiang Tian to move upstairs.
Hurry up, man.
The zombies were in a panic. Where had their masters sent them?
When they reached the third floor, they saw San Ling. He didn’t need to use any tricks—his leader-level presence weighed heavily upon them.
San Yi stood next to the leader. San Yi had facial paralysis, and when he saw the group arrive, he gave them a stiff smile.
But in the eyes of the thoroughly terrified zombies, that stiff smile seemed incredibly gentle.
“This is your teacher,” San Ling introduced.
The zombies: Thank heavens he’s the teacher and not one of those two downstairs.
“Learn how to play dead properly, and you’ll be allowed to leave once you’ve mastered it.” After consuming a small crystal core, San Ling’s aura grew even stronger, and his strength had noticeably increased.
San Yi led the group into the classroom.
“Oh, right.” San Ling called out to San Yi and handed him a notebook. “Your master gave this. If anyone misbehaves, chats during class, note it down. Anyone who falls behind in their learning will have their class hours doubled.”
“And if someone sleeps during class, make them stand up and hold a horse stance.”
“And for anyone who disrespects the teacher or tries to pick a fight…” San Ling pointed downstairs, “The class monitor on the first floor and the discipline officer on the second floor are waiting for them.”
All these strange titles were from a classroom model San Wu remembered from ten years ago. She believed that if she was going to do something, she had to do it right.
Those familiar words, that familiar process.
This gave the zombies, who had long lost their memories of their past lives, an eerie sense of familiarity and dread.
As they stared at the small notebook, they finally began to tremble all over, feeling more terrified than when they had heard the screams downstairs.
