27-chapter-21

The elevator doors opened, and Gu Jingxu quietly mentioned a few numbers.

In an instant, Chi You understood. She raised her hand to enter the password, and the door opened with a sound.

This apartment was one of Gu Jingxu’s frequently visited residences, so when he decided to take Chi You home, it was the first place that came to his mind.

By the door, Chi You changed into the slippers Gu Jingxu had taken out, then looked around the living room.

The entire apartment displayed a cool color palette, with gray and black decorations that somewhat reflected the owner’s personality.

Chi You remained silent. After sitting down in the living room, she observed as Gu Jingxu took out a large bottle of yogurt from the refrigerator.

Someone like him had yogurt at home?

Glancing at the strawberry yogurt that seemed mismatched with his reserved and restrained appearance, Chi You intriguingly smiled.

Seeing her apparent interest, Gu Jingxu walked over, sat beside her, and poured a glass of yogurt for her.

“Do you like this?” He asked.

“Mm,” Chi You nodded. “I like it.”

She enjoyed sweet treats, and the taste of yogurt was pleasant. Taking a sip, she licked her lips with satisfaction. Suddenly, she turned her head and asked, “Mr. Gu, considering our current relationship, can I address you differently?”

Gu Jingxu’s deep eyes reflected her face as he spoke in a low voice, “You can call me anything you want.”

Chi You shook her head, “Calling you by your name is fine, Gu Jingxu.”

When these three words came out of her mouth, they seemed to carry a special feeling.

Gu Jingxu’s ears turned red for a moment. He slightly averted his gaze, looking at the glass table in front of them. In the next moment, Chi You’s breath suddenly drew closer.

The faint fragrance surrounding the girl had always lingered around him, but now, it was particularly close.

Chi You’s fair cheek was right in front of him, and he couldn’t avoid it, so he had to look back at her.

With a steady voice and an expression that didn’t reveal any discomfort, Gu Jingxu asked, “What’s wrong?”

In the instant his words fell, Chi You suddenly raised her hand and touched his arm.

Although the man’s body was wrapped in a suit, it seemed even more attention-grabbing.

Chi You lightly touched Gu Jingxu’s arm muscle through the fabric. His body instinctively tensed for a moment, then immediately relaxed.

Chi You had wanted to do this for a while now.

This body was really enticing to her.

She felt it twice, feeling satisfied with it. However, noticing that Gu Jingxu seemed a bit uncomfortable, she withdrew her hand and apologized, “I’m sorry.”

“Uh, no need to apologize,” Gu Jingxu spoke, feeling somewhat regretful the moment he opened his mouth.

It was just a conversation with her, so why did he suddenly feel a bit nervous?

Just now, it seemed like he sensed some of the “liking” Chi You mentioned earlier, as if she was quite satisfied with him.

No time to dwell on these thoughts, Gu Jingxu stood up, his tall figure next to Chi You. His face carried an unusually calm expression. “Let me show you the room.”

Even before Chi You made a decision, Gu Jingxu had arranged for preparations.

He hadn’t tampered with the design of this apartment. In fact, he had no specific preferences for such things—whether it was gray and black or white, it made no difference to him.

Compared to those considerations, the fact that Chi You would be moving in was what mattered most to him.

He had hired several designers to turn the adjacent bedroom into a style that a girl would like.

But he didn’t know if Chi You would be satisfied.

So, standing at the door, watching Chi You’s expression unchanged, his heart couldn’t help but sink a bit.

He gazed at the faint smile on Chi You’s lips, and his thin lips subconsciously tightened.

She didn’t seem very pleased.

As he expected, Chi You showed no emotion towards the bedroom. She glanced lightly, then raised her head, asking, “I’m supposed to stay here?”

Her tone made it difficult for Gu Jingxu to nod, but he had no other answer.

He then noticed a slight downturn at the corner of the girl’s lips.

It was a very subtle movement. If he hadn’t been paying close attention to Chi You’s expression, he might not have noticed.

“Don’t you like it here?” He asked.

Gu Jingxu, who had lived for so many years, found himself asking someone else such a question for the first time. However, standing in front of him was Chi You, and he felt it was appropriate.

Chi You didn’t immediately answer him but instead made a motion to leave.

Gu Jingxu visibly panicked.

He instinctively grabbed Chi You’s wrist.

The girl looked healthy and had a good complexion, but she was actually quite thin. In the moment he held her wrist, Gu Jingxu’s attention shifted subconsciously.

She should eat more.

Confused by being pulled, Chi You raised her head and blinked, “?”

He cleared his throat, “If you don’t like it here, I have other houses.”

Chi You heard his words, and the puzzled look in her eyes dissipated. She spoke softly, “But I want to stay in your room.”

What Gu Jingxu wanted to say got stuck in his throat. His palms were slightly sweaty, so Chi You uncomfortably broke free from him. “Is it the next room?”

Gu Jingxu, still not fully recovered from her words, subconsciously nodded in response. So Chi You turned and went to the next room.

The master bedroom, consistent with the overall decoration of the entire apartment, also presented a gray-black color scheme. The items were neatly arranged, and upon entering, one could smell the perfume scent that Gu Jingxu usually wore. If not for the presence of daily necessities, one would almost doubt that this bedroom was uninhabited.

Chi You finally revealed a satisfied expression.
